The first one may not necessarily be more mature than the second (though I see where you go with Charmed. xDDD I really liked Cole though... My teenage years!), it just depends on the way you write. The first could be written too romantically and sentimentally. You know, erasing a love that made him suffer (it really depends on why the love made him suffer).
